Air dehumidification is a viable resolution and is achieved by several methods: The first method is cooling the air below its dew point and removing moisture by condensation. This method is effective under conditions where the dew point is 8 ~ 10 ℃; the second method is absorbing the moisture by a desiccant material. Ceramic fibers of impregnated porous hygroscopic agents are processed into honeycomb-like runners.
The dehumidification structure is simple, and can reach -60 ℃ or less through special combination of desiccant materials. The cooling method is effective for small applications or where the humidity level is moderately controlled; for larger applications, or where the humidity level must be controlled to a very low level, desiccant dehumidification is required.
DRYAIR systems utilize cooling method technology, as well as desiccant wheels of cellular structure. The motor drives the desiccant wheel to rotate 8 to 18 times per hour, and repeatedly absorbs moisture through a regeneration action to provide dry air. The desiccant wheel is divided into the moisture area and the regeneration area. After the moisture in the air is removed in the moisture area of the wheel, the blower sends the dry air into the room. The wheel having absorbed water rotates to the regeneration area, and then regenerated air (hot air) is sent over the wheel from the reverse direction, expelling the water, so that the wheel can continue to work.
The regenerated air is heated with either steam heaters or electric heaters. Due to the special properties of super silicone gel and molecular-sieve in the desiccant wheel, DRYAIR dehumidifiers can realize continuous dehumidification under large amounts of air volume, and meet the requirements of very low moisture content. Through matching and combination, the moisture content of treated air can be less than 1g/kg of dry air (equal to dew point temperature -60 ℃). DRYAIR dehumidifiers excellent performance is even better manifested in low humidity environments. To maintain a stable temperature of the dry air, it is advisable to cool down or heat up the dehumidified air by installing air-conditioning equipment or a heater.
There are several types of desiccants, all with the common ability to attract and trap the water vapor molecules from the surrounding air, but otherwise different making them more or less suitable for certain applications.
